Julie Lynch
Enrolled Agent & Former IRS Revenue Officer
Julie Lynch recently wrapped up an illustrious 38-year career as a Revenue Officer in the Collection Division of the Internal Revenue Service. Throughout her tenure, she adeptly handled collection cases concerning both individuals and businesses, overseeing every facet of resolution. This included crafting Offers-in-Compromise, setting up installment agreements, designating cases as currently uncollectible, and managing requests for abatements.
Julie collaborated seamlessly with various IRS divisions, such as the Examination Division and Taxpayer Advocate. Furthermore, she consistently engaged with representatives from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. Her proficiency was further showcased when she led various IRS training sessions, acted as an On-The-Job Trainer for newcomers, and served as a guiding mentor to junior staff as a senior Revenue Officer.
Her profound expertise was frequently sought after, not only within her team but also across different departments in the Collection Division.
For her outstanding commitment and skills, Julie was honored with annual Performance Awards during her service. She was also a recipient of the Regional Commissioner’s Award and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Secretary of the Treasury. Upon her retirement, she was further celebrated with the esteemed Albert Gallatin Excellent Service Award, presented by the Secretary of the Treasury.
